How to Agree a Vehicle’s Included Accessories Before Export Collection

4 min read

Create a clear, date-linked inventory of removable vehicle accessories so the listing, purchase agreement and collection record describe the same items.

Separate fitted equipment from loose accessories

List removable items such as manuals, cargo covers, mats, locking-wheel-nut tools, charging adapters or optional racks only where they are actually present. Do not assume that an item visible in an old photograph is included in the sale.

Identify items precisely

Use the manufacturer reference or readable markings where available, quantity and visible condition. Photograph each item beside the vehicle reference or in an ordered inventory. Similar-looking accessories may have different fitment or electrical requirements.

Distinguish included, excluded and unverified

Give every item a clear status. A seller’s promise to locate an item later is not the same as confirmed availability. Record unanswered questions and avoid treating an empty inventory field as agreement that nothing is missing.

Confirm terms in writing

Ask the relevant parties to confirm which inventory revision forms part of the transaction. Clarify any agreed replacement without inventing delivery or sourcing promises. Obtain appropriate professional advice where the agreement or destination requirements need interpretation.

Reconcile at collection

Compare the actual items with the agreed inventory before handover. Record omissions, substitutions and visible changes with date-linked evidence. Do not ask an unqualified person to dismantle equipment or test unknown electrical accessories.

Keep compatibility and compliance separate

Possession of an accessory does not prove it fits, works or meets destination requirements. Use exact manufacturer information and qualified inspection. Global Auto Export does not guarantee vehicle condition, accessory compatibility, legal or customs compliance, tax, delivery or financial outcomes.
